Finished in a phosphate exterior with a DLC-coated barrel extension. Chrome-lined chamber bore. Dimpled for use with your low-profile gas block. Not for use with front sight blocks. Gassed for use with and without a suppressor.

Pretty solid barrel for the price. Overall it shoots well and isn’t super overgassed when running 5.56 loads suppressed with just a carbine buffer/spring.
Only complaint is the gas block journal was seemingly a little undersized for most of the GBs I had on hand (GB slipped on with little to no friction and would slide around freely). I contacted SOLGW and they said this was optimal as it helped with gas seal….I refute that BS.
Thankfully I found a GB that had a more friction fit and it wasn’t a problem. Otherwise I would have RMA’d it.
I measured some velocities using a Rangecraft Chrono:
PSA 75gr
2432fps avg
Hornady Frontier T2 5.56 75gr
2551fps avgj
M193
2700fps avg

Rooftop is absolutely the best company out there but as far as this barrel goes. It is a great barrel in general but I am really disappointed that the dimple for the gas block was just one single dimple done with a drill bit. They could honestly at least have two of them and have them done better like giessele, Black river or Noveske.
