Complete M4 forged upper receiver assembly made by LMT to their stringent QC standards.
This Lewis Machine & Tool M4 style flat top upper receiver comes from the factory with forward assist and dust cover already installed. This forged AR-15 upper receiver is compatible with Mil-Spec parts and lowers. The flat top picatinny rail features laser engraved T-marks to make it easier to put your optic back on in the same spot if you ever take it off. Hardcoat anodized black to military specifications, this LMT Upper Receiver is a reliable foundation for building a high-quality AR.

Not impressed. It is decent and functions, but certainly not living up to the LMT status of the hallowed tier that commands the premium cost. Fit on both LMT MARS-L and non MARS-L lowers is loose, has out of spec radius machining on the rear, and of course the infamous forge lines that do not line up. These uppers were intentionally used to keep a couple builds entirely LMT until the barrel because of LMT’s guaranteed fit claim. The claim of fit using their parts is exaggerated – they “fit”, as in they will assemble.

Love LMT products and Rooftop always has a great selection of LMT and other high end products. Builds always seem to go smoother when you go top shelf. Sometimes you really do get what you pay for

I ordered a stripped LMT upper receiver because while I certainly do not need another stripped upper receiver, I definitely needed another stripped upper receiver. My receiver was shipped and delivered very quickly, and it arrived in excellent condition as far as milspec parts are concerned. I also appreciate the sticker, copy of the US Constitution, and package of ramen soup that was included in the box. Rooftop was running a sale on LMT parts so I paid quite a bit less than the regular retail price. I will definitely order from Rooftop again, provided that my state government overlords allow me to exercise my Constitutional rights without interference, however unlikely that may be. Thank you, Rooftop! I’m happy that you were able to recover from that terrible fire you had a few years ago.

Very nicely finished. Cheaper uppers have a looser carrier bore. This is not quite a thermal fit at the extension but the diameter is consistent all the way through, unlike thermal fit uppers which have a different diameter between carrier bore and barrel extension bore. This makes this a good candidate for lapping (which mine didn’t seem to need anyway).

Can’t ask for better service than what comes from Rooftop. I do have to say though, the upper receiver I received did not have the best finish, and given its LMT I had higher expectations, but it absolutely does not effect fit or function and it will be used and abused so I am not mad. Might even end up getting rattlecanned and at that point, the finish is irrelevant. Also, the discount was insane, it could have arrived scratched to all hell and I wouldn’t complain. Thanks for what you do Sol, Rooftop is the best!
