The Geissele Freedom Rifle (GFR) Ambidextrous Stratomatch is built to provide consistent and repeatable performance at distance.
The GFR provides the lightweight agility of a small-frame platform while delivering a lot of the performance associated with large-frame AR10s. The GFR Stratomatch is built to maximize every ounce of competitive edge 6mm ARC cartridge can provide, including downrange energy, a flat trajectory and ballistic coefficient. It also manages to do so without many of the issues that plague many lesser 6mm ARC rifles.
The GFR Stratomatch Mod 1 introduces fully ambidextrous controls onto the lower receiver. Complete with an ambidextrous magazine release and an ambidextrous bolt catch and release under the ejection port.
Each Stratomatch is made with Geissele’s Stainless Steel Cut Rifled barrel to ensure outstanding precision and durability. Each barrel is paired with a Reliability Enhanced Bolt Carrier Group and a proper 6mm ARC bolt to provide reliability and a long service life. To top it off, the GFR Stratomatch’s utilize Geissele’s patented 3-port Phased Array gas system to siphon off more gas from three separate gas ports to readily provide ample gas while significantly reducing the recoil impulse felt by the shooter.

Sol hooked it up and this rifle is great! Fit and finish is top tier, and the Geissele phased-array gas system makes the 6 ARC recoil impulse very smooth, even when comparing to my 6 ARC Seekins DMR with an adjustable gas block. Shoots sub-MOA out of the box with factory match ammo, and I can’t wait to start load development. The fully ambi lower uses the dust cover as a right-side bolt hold-open and I may prefer it to the LMT/LWRC style ambi lowers I normally use, I’ll know for sure after a few more range trips. Very nice parts selection as well – comes with a SSA-E trigger and a PRS-light stock so I don’t need to swap anything from my usual DMR-style build, and the rail has integrated full-length Arcalock for bipods and tripods. My first complete Geissele rifle and I am impressed and will likely buy another.
