5 stars with an asterisk. 100% quality equipment, 100% top notch service from Rooftop. Amazingly quick ship, reached out to me on Labor Day to confirm some details of my order since it was my first time ordering. Super fast shipping. Got the upper out, went to put the rail on and found my surprise. It’s also on me for not doing enough research but understand this comes with a standard mil spec barrel nut. If you want to put any higher end rails on that use proprietary mounting set ups, you will need to remove the gas block and the existing barrel nut. Needed a breaker bar on my armorers wrench to pry it loose but once that was done, installing the new barrel nut, re-installing the gas tube and block and adding the rail was a breeze. I would still 100 percent buy this just for the fact that I didn’t have to install the roll pin into the gas block. It just would have eliminated my frustration and disappointment that this isn’t truly plug and play.

Either way, at the end of the day, buy with confidence from Rooftop Defense. Nothing that they could do better.
