I love these guys. This was an outstanding price for this helmet. Shipping was quick and I love their theme. My grade school age daughter asked what Rooftop Defense meant and I explained about the Koreans who came to the US and had shops that were threatened during riots in California. I explained how they effectively defended their property and how their courageous actions are celebrated all over the world by referring to them as the Rooftop Koreans.
The Fast SF super high cut is awesome. I’ve got a head like Milspec Monkey’s apparently, as I’m right on the line between medium and large just as he mentioned in his Youtube review of this helmet. I chose the medium, since that’s what Monkey stated he preferred, and it’s right on. I have to let the chin straps all the way out, ditch the nape pad, and use a thinner pad at the back, but it fits just right. Little movement on the head, but also not too tight, just like my medium carbon bump helmet. I actually prefer the thickest pads in the top of the helmet, as I’ve got a 21oz NVG setup with battery pack and counterweight. The 3/4″ pads are so cushy, I find they eliminate any hot spots from forming after several hours of wear.
The Fast SF is heavier than my bump helmet by about 12oz, and if you really want it, companies are blowing out the SLAAP applique addon rifle armor for around $100 a few places.
