This light package contains a PLHv2-light head, 18350 body and tail cap. It also includes a single KeepPower 1200mAh 18350 battery and a XTAR MC2 charger. While lumen output with this light is similar to the Surefire® M600DF head the throw is much better suited to a rifle mounted application at more than three times the amount throw than the M600DF. This light is a large step forward from the PLHv1 light. Lumen output is about the same but throw is greatly improved. It is the best balance of flood and throw available.

Lithium CR123 cells are not supported and if used will cause the cells to heat up and possibly explode or catch fire. We recommend the Modlite 18350 high drain cells which can be found here. Runtime is about 35 minutes with the supplied 18350 cells.

Ran the gauntlet of lights starting with a Streamlight ProTac, tried the Arisaka and Malkoff, grabbed a 600DF and finally ended up here on the Rooftop. Modlite is the Mecca ladies and gentlemen. This little light is amazing in every way. The flood, the hot spot, the size, the weight, the sexy ass design, the sheer brightness and dopeness is all best-in-class. This thing destroys the 600DF. Not even close, seriously. All you need to decide is if you want 30 minutes of eye melting awesomeness with the 18350, or 75 minutes with the 18650. Grab a UE cap and the switch of your choice and enjoy the last light you’ll need until the next generation of LEDs comes out in 5-10 years.

It is a tiny little light, but don’t let that fool you. Its beefy hunk of photons emitted out the front should have come with a girth certificate. I ended up replacing my M600DF with this little guy. The sacrifice of run time is worth the ounces and inches for my application.
