The Enhanced Ejection Port Cover is a drop-in upgrade designed to provide an improved installation process, physical strength, and corrosion resistance over the standard USGI ejection port cover.
Traditional stamped-steel ejection ports are malleable, prone to corrosion, and require tools to install. The Enhanced Ejection Port Cover snaps into place easily without having to remove your hand guard or barrel nut, wind any loose springs, or adjust small e-clips. Constructed of impact-resistant injection molded polymer, it is corrosion resistant and will not bend or deform from impacts.

First of all, the customer service is phenomenal with Rooftop Defense, from the name of the company itself to the return address on the envelope, to the free package of Ramen noodles with a hand-written note, to the low prices, to the fast shipping… what’s not to like?!
As for this product, it won’t work properly on the two uppers that were candidates for this thing (both Aero Precision). I’ve contacted Magpul about it and they’ve gotten back to me so I assume they’ll make it right.

First of all: Rooftop is fantastic, glad to have supported them after the fire. Second of all: This ejection port cover will not play nice with an M4E1 Upper and I learned this the hard way. It does not open and flip out of the way when it is open. Best to just stick with mil spec unfortunately.
