I’ve been looking for an ambidextrous lower for a while so I lucked out recently when a friend told me Rooftop Defense had LMT MARS-L stripped lowers in stock . The only way to improve the lower itself is to upgrade the safety that it comes with which will contact your trigger finger if you’re shooting right or left handed which is just a matter of personal preference. Finish is great, mag release spring on mine was a little tight at first but you can break it in by repeatedly pressing it or just back it off a turn. The customer service from Rooftop Defense is outstanding. They had it ready to ship as soon as they got my FFL dealer’s info. My friend who also got one said they had his shipped the same night he bought it.

Lower is the best you can buy, even above my kac. The ability to lock the bolt back from either side is really a game changer under time. And Rooftop Defense shipped it with a space shuttle, thing was here insanely fast. Awesome Sauce!

An excellent lower. Fit and finish are fantastic, and the ambidextrous controls are very intuitive to use. You can’t really beat it.
