The Lewis Machine and Tool MARS-L complete lower receiver is an excellent starting point for a hard-use rifle.
The LMT Modular Ambidextrous Rifle System (MARS) lower receiver offers ambidextrous controls to include: selector, magazine release and bolt catch and release. An enhanced flared magazine well and ambidextrous magazine and bolt catch mechanisms are machined directly into the receiver and have been designed to function as ergonomically as possible.
This lower receiver is designed with several unique LMT® features to further enhance its durability and versatility. These features are: Two-stage trigger group, winter trigger guard, rubberized grip and QD endplate.

Need to revise my earlier review. On closer inspection and finalizing some builds: the castle nut is barely dimpled, and there is something out of spec with the machining – fit is loose with varying gap size to their uppers. Plus the forge lines do not match. This latter is well known in the community, but none of it should be acceptable given LMT’s “status” and premium cost.

Fit and finish looks excellent. It’ll be a bit before it gets a mate and tested. 5 stars is for the best retailer around. Appreciate the meal and sticker, but most of all the pocket Constitution! What an outstanding idea! Keeping a couple for home and then start handing out. When I run out of options for that, I’ll start donating to the public school teachers. Pretty sure they don’t adhere to page 46.
