Daniel Defense RIS III MLOK Rail, 12.5″ FDE
Our all-new RIS III rail system is modeled after the proven RIS II developed for SOCOM, but now in M-LOK for extreme durability with less weight.
It features our hardcore 6-Bolt, Bolt-Up System used on the RIS II, and the same two-part free-float design that never makes contact with the barrel – not even with an M203 grenade launcher installed – so barrel harmonics and accuracy are not affected. The lightweight, heavy-hitting RIII is ready for anything.
- Aircraft Grade 6061-T6 aluminum
- Free-floating barrel design for increased accuracy
- Two-piece design allows for the attachment of an M203 grenade launcher when lower rail Section is removed.
- Battle-tested, 6-bolt Bolt-Up System securely attaches handguard to the upper receiver
- Grade 8 military specification fasteners
- Uninterrupted upper rail platform & Mil-Spec 1913 picatinny rails
- Mil-Spec Type III Hard Coat Anodized Finish (FDE or Black)

As always rooftop had my order out and ready to ship in no time at all. The rail is absolutely a step up from the ris ii. Super comfortable, but just as sturdy as its predecessor. Great rail overall

This rail is superior to:
KAC URX
Geissele MK16
BCM MCMR
Fit, finish, ease of install, balance, and just overall feel. Worth every bit of the 500$ and guess what, unlike Knights you can actually get a hold of customer service and order replacement parts when you wear one out and/or drink one too many and over torque a teeny hex screw and yeet that mf off the threads.

Rooftop is an amazing company first thing!
The risIII is a strong contender for the ris2 rails and more modern looks the rail is solid feeling and feels good in the hands I would highly recommend it but if going from a ris2 I don’t know if the price is worth it that said if it is a new build then yes recommend it I don’t see much reason to get rid of the quad rail (personally I’d prefer the quad but I think for a newer generation of build the ris3 is perfect

Dang, its a hell of a handguard with the sturdy lock up that RIS rails have. The RIS III is a fresh look to the venerable RIS II. Stop reading reviews and just purchase already!
