The lower that I received was excellent. The blemish was super tiny and had to really look for it. This was my first purchase with Rooftop and it was a great experience. The ramen that came with my order was delicious by the way.

wow!!!!! super fast shipping, had tracking within an hour, arived in less than 2 days and came with a free meal, and a copy of the constitution… what more could you ask for??? I emailed Sol a few times and he even responded within a couple hours on the weekend… as far as the bcm blem lower, couldnt find a blem on in just like my other ones, save the coin and get the blem if its in stock… Plan on doing business again in the future, thanks Sol!!!!

Just…wow.
First, the ordering process: They’re about to ban AR-15s and other semi-automatic rifles here in Washington, so I ordered this sooner than I intended, on March 13th. I’m 2 time zones away from Rooftop Defense. I received a tracking email about an hour later saying my order had shipped. I received another email on the 15th letting me know my BCM lower had already been delivered to my FFL. I got a call this morning (16th) from the FFL letting me know I could come do my transfer paperwork, pay my fees, then take it home.
I’m still in disbelief this firearm left Arkansas and arrived in WA and is in my possession 3 days later. I’ve ordered several firearms online before and I have NEVER gotten one that fast. I ordered an Aero Precision lower and it took a day or 2 longer to get it from Tacoma, just a few miles south of Seattle, to my FFL. With this order, I even got dinner, a Rooftop Defense sticker, and a copy of the Constitution with my order!
Now, the rifle. I have heard many people say how great BCMs were. I wondered what separated BCM from any other AR-15. I own a budget build AR with an Anderson MFG lower and everything else from Ground Zero Precision. I bought it during the Obama administration and it took a few tweaks before we finally got it right. A few months ago, I bought an Aero Precision complete lower and a complete upper, just had to add a BCG and charging handle (nickel boron for both, of course). I still have not yet fired the Aero Precision AR yet, but it is stiff compared to the Anderson/GZP build, especially the dust cover and the selector switch. I have trained with a Colt LE model, and the FN-15. I can’t tell a great deal of difference between the different rifles, except that the Colt is a little easier to break down for cleaning than the FN.
I haven’t shot the BCM yet, but it literally feels different than any mil-spec AR-15 I’ve ever held in my hands. The selector switch is as smooth-shifting as could be. It has a nice trigger. Now I just need to find the right upper for it!
I saved $50 by buying the “blemish” version, and I had to search for the blemish before I finally found it. I recommend saving yourself a few bucks and buy the BLEM version too. Unless your a world-class anal-retentive freak, you’ll never notice it.
