LMT MRP-L MLOK 11.5″ ‘Shovelnose’ Upper Receiver Chassis
The “Shovelnose” MRP upper was designed specifically for shooters who need more room for mounting accessories when using LMT piston barrels.
Available as a stand alone item for the first time upgrade your existing LMT piston gun to the “SHOVELNOSE”
The upper features a larger internal diameter allowing for the installation and removal of any LMT barrel without removing MLOK add-ons.
The patented LMT monolithic rail platform (MRP) upper receiver, has a receiver and handguard that are made from a single piece of aerospace grade aluminum. The barrel is held in place with a proprietary locking system that utilizes two locking bolts accessible from the right side of the receiver. The only tool needed is a standard T-30 Torx bit to tighten the bolts. This receiver requires the patented LMT monolithic barrel assembly which has a low profile gas block with straight gas tube.

Fit and finish is great. Shoot well, though a bit gassy silenced. Pairs well with the velos LBP 556k and my flow 556k.
The star of the show is Sol. I really wanted to finish getting all my packages delivered before my wife was in the hospital delivering. Sol took care of it and made sure my stuff arrived before we were due at the hospital. Seriously, best shop I work with, and will continue giving him my business.

That said, fit and finish are great even though I’ve heard mixed reviews on LMT’s QC in recent years. Looking forward to snagging a piston barrel and BCG to complete this outstanding upper.
