Modlite OKW DF Dual Fuel Light Head
This head is a direct replacement for the Surefire M600DF head
The OKWW DF Dual Fuel light head can be used with the Modlite 18650 body or the smaller Modlite 18350 body or our handheld light bodies.
Lumen output with a single 18650 cell is ~680 lumens and ~69,000 candela. While output is only 680 lumen the throw is about 400% greater than the M600DF. This light head is best suited for situations where extreme throw and ability to see thru photonic barriers is necessary. Light output is slightly reduced when used with two CR123A cells.
For use with:
- One 18650 cell in a 18650 body
- Two CR123A cells in a 18650 body
- One 18350 cell in a 18350 body

We recommend the KeepPower 18650/18350 high drain cells which can be found here. Runtime is about 80 minutes with 18650 and about 35 minutes with the smaller 18350 cells.
Do not stack 18350 cells into an 18650 body. This can cause the light to malfunction. Only use 18650 cells in 18650 bodies and 18350 cells in 18350 bodies.

Bought this head to swap with my PLHv2. I haven’t spent as much time with the OKW, but I would say if your trying to reach further with a light the OKW pushes it out there. Comparing the OKW and PLHv2 the OKW does have a noticeable difference in reach, but also a noticeable smaller spill. For general use the PLHv2 I would say gives you more. They both out reach a surefire D600 series. If you need or want to have a light that acts more like an individual spot light in distance the OKW will work for that. I can see a use for it on coyote, or other night predators that you want to see in a 100-300 yard distance. The only draw back for that type spotting with the OKW is that you have to have your target in the tight beam. Your spill is just not as strong with it vs the PLHv2.
Hope that helps for anyone on the fence, but I’m assume if your looking at the OKW your looking for the distance beam.
Oh and the OKW does penetrate headlight beams a little better than the PLHv2 so that is another little advantage.
