Don’t let this review sway an order from rooftop. The brands they sell, when in stock, are all good quality products. Their pricing is good, shipping is crazy fast and everytime I open the order and get the “free gift” and note from Sal, it gives me a chuckle (if you’re a customer here, you know what I mean).
To be honest, I specifically bought the barrel in this configuration b/c I know Daniel defense (DD) barrels are solid and I was being lazy. I always dimple for set screws (& stake) and pin my gas blocks. I thought, “great barrel and less work for me, nice.” In short, the hole for the pin in the gas block was not straight. It was drilled off center. Diagonal. The gas block also sat ever so slightly off from top dead center- Not the end of the world as it appeared to still be within tolerance of alignment. The pin itself was not all the way through and stuck out much further than my liking. Gas block has 1 hole in the bottom like a noveski gas block but it isn’t threaded nor does it come with a set screw so the cross pin is the only hold/mounting point. I’m not a huge fan of this gas block. I attempted to punch the pin in further and saw it was going to mushroom or bend and not go anywhere. I don’t know if the gas block is DD brand. Last one I installed was few years but recall it had two set screws. I’m also unsure if the pinning was done aftermarket or by DD themselves. Fanboy hate if you want but I’ve had an issue with a DD product before. It was a very rare occurrence and was quickly cleared up by DD themselves without issue but point is no body is perfect all the time. If everything is DD manufactured and pinned by them, then maybe I just got a bad one. Going to give rooftop a call. If you order this, make sure to give it a quality inspection prior to install.

This barrel turned my PSA into a sub moa beast. I can not imagine there is a better barrel you can buy. Its accurate and rated for hard use and I believe has a warranty on it for life. Go with DD…you won’t be dissapointed
