Sons of Liberty Gun Works 18″ .223 Wylde Rifle Precision SPR Barrel
The SOLGW Precision barrels are unquestionably the most accurate barrels Sons has ever offered.
Optimized for accuracy, the SPR contour and 5/8×24 threads at the muzzle are by no means lightweight, but they are routinely shooting 1/2MOA groups with multiple types of ammo.
The Precision series is 416R stainless steel, black oxide coated, and cut with .223Wylde chambers. These barrels are also polygonal rifled with a 3 groove, 1:7 twist bore.
Please note that these barrels will have a shorter lifespan than 4150CMV barrels, however their warranty still applies. If you can manage to shoot one out, SOLGW still replace it for you free of charge.

I picked up a Sons of Liberty Gun Works SPR barrel after dealing with accuracy issues on another build, and the performance has been outstanding. I ran multiple groups at 100 yards using Federal Gold Medal Match, and the barrel consistently produced sub-MOA accuracy, even when factoring in a couple of shots that I personally pulled.
When I did my part behind the rifle, the barrel easily delivered true half-MOA performance, stacking rounds into extremely tight clusters with no signs of vertical stringing or point-of-impact wandering. Longer 6–10 round groups held together just as well, which is where many barrels start to open up. This one stayed consistent from shot to shot.
Overall, this SPR barrel shoots exactly how a precision-oriented 5.56 barrel should. It’s reliable, predictable, and incredibly accurate. After switching to the SOLGW SPR, the difference was night and day it simply performs without drama.
If you’re looking for a dependable and genuinely precise SPR barrel, this one is absolutely worth it. Sons of Liberty nailed it.

Purchased this barrel for a SPR build that previously had a BA premium SPR barrel. The SOLGW barrel is superior in every way. Groups are 1/2 moa with 75gr Hornady ELDM and .75-1 MOA with AAC 77gr, 69gr and 62gr with bipod and rear bag @100yds. Barrel is dimpled for gas block and finish is nice. Rooftopdefense was great, shipping was quick and info was updated every step of the way. Delivery was on time, and packaging was excellent. Gotta love the.
